Do not sell or share my personal information
Last updated 4 October 2026
If you are a California resident, this page explains your choices and how to use them here.
We do not sell personal information
We do not exchange personal information for money, and never have.
We do share it, in the way the law means
California law treats showing personalized advertising as "sharing" personal information, even where no money changes hands. This site carries advertising served by Google AdSense, which may use cookies to show ads based on your prior browsing. Under that definition, that is sharing, and you can opt out of it.
How to opt out
- Turn off ad personalization in Google Ads Settings. This applies across sites, not only this one.
- Opt out of participating third-party vendors at optout.aboutads.info.
- Enable Global Privacy Control in a browser that supports it, which signals your choice automatically to sites that honor it.
- Block or clear cookies in your browser. Nothing on this site requires them, and every calculator works without them.
You can also email hello@localservicecalculator.com with "California privacy request" in the subject line. Because we have no visitor accounts, we may not be able to identify data belonging to you — which usually means there is none to act on.
Your other rights
- Know
- What we have collected about you, and why. For most visitors this is nothing beyond standard server logs.
- Delete
- Anything you have sent us, such as a message or a listing submission.
- Correct
- Anything inaccurate that we hold.
- Not be penalized
- Exercising any of these changes nothing about the site you see. There is no paid tier and no reduced service.
We do not knowingly collect or share personal information of anyone under 16.
